The Gulf Breeze Zoo is a 50-acre facility with lush Florida gardens and hundreds of animals, including primates, large cats, bears and colorful birds. Visitors can catch a ride on the Safari Line train through 30 acres of free-roaming animals in their natural habitat. Annual memberships are available.

Visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Center. The goal of the center is conservation and protection of threatened and endangered sea turtles and to promote understanding and conservation of Florida’s coastal marine ecosystems through community education programs and partnered research. www.navarrebeachseaturtles.com
The Navarre Beach Marine Science Station is also located in the park. The mission of the Science Station is to promote the appreciation, conservation and understanding of the marine ecosystem of coastal Florida through education and service. The center is the focal point of the marine, natural resource and watershed education for Northwest Florida K-12 students, visitors and the community. Visit www.navarresciencestation.org.
The Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary has installed three separate reefs to dive or snorkel. One reef is located in the Gulf of Mexico allowing for deep-diving as well as snorkeling for the novices. The Gulf reef is about 2,000 feet east of the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier. There are two reefs located on the north side of the county park in the sound. www.navarrebeachmarinesanctuary.com
Since its opening in 2010, the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier has been celebrated as the longest fishing pier extending into the Gulf of Mexico. With a surface area exceeding 32,000 square feet, the pier offers fisherman ample space to angle 30 feet above sea-level. Fishing is $7 per day or you can walk along the pier for just $1. Weekly and annual passes are also available.
Panhandle Butterfly House is located at the foot of the Navarre Beach Bridge next to the Visitor Information Center. Learn about the butterfly life cycle and view the butterfly nursery in this interactive exhibit. Admission is free and donations are welcomed. www.panhandlebutterflyhouse.org
